Abstract

The subject of this research was the environment from the Islamic green ecological perspective.

The aim was to describe the environment from the Islamic green ecological perspective based on the insight into the Qur’an, Sunnah and traditional sources.

Of the research methods, the method of theoretical analysis was used in the analysis of the research corpus of available theoretical sources.

Insights into recent theoretical sources have shown that the basic building blocks of the environment are considered to be earth, air, water, animals and people, from the Islamic green ecological perspective. Otherwise, the environment is defined as the sum of all the circumstances in which organisms live, that is, the result of mutual influence between non-living (abiotic), physical and chemical and living (biotic) subjects where they are present, and in the ecological sense it means the sum of conditions under which an organism lives, including the physical environment, climate and influences of other living organisms.

It was concluded that the relationship between humanity and the environment is considered to be a part of an interactive relationship between all creatures, which is based on the Principle of Obedience to the One Creator, and that people are responsible for the well-being and survival of other inhabitants of the global environment.
